This newspaper cutting from the First World War period tells of an Army R.E. detachment called Kent Fortress Royal Engineers (Territorial). It appears that they were camped at Oad Street and prior to that at Milton. The pictures show the area of the “front line”. Can anyone give more information on this episode please?
