Home Guard — Home Guard – Bredgar. Two times winners of cup for ?rifle shooting. To right of cup, in front row is S F Valentin (John) – ?Commander of the platoon. Presumably he was not allowed to have the same position with the Borden platoon – perhaps because in the event of an ‘incident’ his first loyalties would be for home and family – hence nightly trips to Bredgar by motorbike
